For those who prefer the speed of the original system, a “Fast” model remains available. But the allure of the Advanced model lies in its ability to move beyond literal translations, delving into the subtleties of language and context.
Currently, the Advanced model’s power is focused on text-based translations. The real-time camera translation feature, where you point your phone at text and see it translated instantly, isn’t yet compatible with this new engine.
Language support is also limited at this early stage. Initial reports indicate the Advanced model currently excels between English and French, and English and Spanish. However, the impact within these languages is already noticeable.
