A concentrated operation along Northwest Indiana highways has led to the apprehension of 223 individuals facing immigration violations. The effort, dubbed “Operation Midway Blitz,” underscores a growing concern for public safety on America’s roadways.
For years, a troubling trend has emerged: individuals without legal authorization to be in the country obtaining commercial driver’s licenses in states with more lenient policies. This practice has created a dangerous situation, placing unqualified drivers behind the wheel of large vehicles.
The consequences have been devastating. Numerous accidents, some fatal, have been linked to these unvetted drivers, directly endangering American families traveling on interstate highways. The recent operation represents a firm response to this escalating risk.
