SNOOP DOXXED! NBC AXES New Year's Eve Show!

The countdown to New Year’s Eve will look different this year. NBC has postponed its planned special with Snoop Dogg, pushing the celebration to a future date.

Announced earlier this year, the two-hour event promised a vibrant night of music, performances, and unexpected collaborations. Despite the anticipation, the special has been cancelled, leaving a void in the network’s New Year’s programming.

Snoop Dogg addressed the change, explaining that scheduling conflicts with NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics led to the decision. He assured fans, however, that the party isn’t off for good, but rather delayed until 2026.

“Sometimes the calendar gets in the way of the celebration,” Snoop Dogg stated, emphasizing his continued relationship with NBC through the Olympics and his role as a coach on *The Voice*.

The cancellation arrives shortly after controversy surrounding comments Snoop Dogg made regarding LGBTQ+ representation in media. His remarks sparked widespread criticism and a public conversation about inclusivity.

The discussion began after Snoop Dogg shared his experience watching the Disney Pixar film *Lightyear* with his grandson. He recounted his grandson’s questions about a lesbian couple featured in the film and expressed feeling “scared” to bring his grandchildren to the movies.

The initial comments drew significant backlash, prompting a response that appeared as an apology on his Instagram account. However, a representative later disputed the authenticity of that post.

In an effort to address the concerns, Snoop Dogg collaborated with GLAAD and musician Jeremy Beloate to create “Love Is Love,” a song featured in his animated children’s series, *Doggyland*.

During a conversation with Beloate, Snoop Dogg emphasized the importance of love and acceptance, stating, “Being able to have parents from all walks of life…love is the key.”

The postponement of the New Year’s Eve special marks a shift in plans, but Snoop Dogg remains committed to future projects with NBC and a message of inclusivity.
