JAIL RETURN! Desperate Leap Leaves Man CRIPPLED & Behind Bars!

Dylan Harrison’s attempt to evade police custody took a dramatic and painful turn, culminating in a broken back and a six-month jail sentence. The incident unfolded as officers were transporting him, triggering a desperate scramble for freedom.

In a bold, yet ill-fated move, Harrison climbed onto the police van itself, using it as leverage to reach a nearby wall. Despite being handcuffed, he managed to crack the van’s windscreen in his struggle to gain height.

He successfully hauled himself over the wall, but the landing was catastrophic. The impact resulted in two fractured bones in his lower back, a devastating consequence of his escape attempt.

Dramatic video shows a handcuffed suspect escaping officers - by leaping onto a police van and over a wall shouting 'I?m not going back to jail'. // Dylan Harrison, 33, is seen first stepping out from the cage of a police vehicle at Ystrad Mynach police station in Wales. He had been arrested after being accused of committing domestic violence offences against a woman in Newport. In the footage, taken from a body cam belonging to one of the female officers, the police can be heard talking and stating the time - with one officer saying: "So Dylan, the time is 8:10". Before she can finish, however, Dylan starts sprinting away. The officers shout: "Get back here now!" During the pursuit, Dylan manages to jump on top of a police van. He can be heard saying: "I'm not going to jail - I'm not going back." Dylan then stands up on the police van cracking the windscreen, and jumps on top of a high wall - pulling himself over it whilst his hands are in handcuffs. He ended up breaking his lower back. When Dylan was eventually caught, he admitted escaping from lawful custody and criminal damage during the incident, which took place on 25 September. He was jailed for six months. Recaptured quickly, Harrison readily admitted to escaping lawful custody and causing criminal damage during the ordeal. His lawyer described the act as “stupid,” emphasizing the complete lack of benefit gained from the risky maneuver.

The court heard that Harrison’s girlfriend is nine months pregnant and facing hardship while he is incarcerated. Despite this personal circumstance, Judge Daniel Williams imposed a six-month jail term.

Interestingly, Harrison had previously faced domestic violence allegations, but those charges were dropped when the alleged victim failed to appear in court. His criminal history includes a 67-month sentence from 2017 for possession of firearms, served in Liverpool.

The entire sequence of events serves as a stark illustration of the immediate and severe consequences that can arise from impulsive decisions made in moments of desperation.
