'S MUST-SEE DESTINATIONS REVEALED!

2025 unfolded as a year of extraordinary journeys, carrying me to seven new countries and countless unforgettable destinations. But beyond the miles logged, it was the spontaneous, unexpected moments that truly defined the year – moments I’m eager to share.

In London, a unique staging of the Evita revival captivated me. Rachel Zegler, portraying Eva Perón, delivered the iconic “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina” not within the theater’s walls, but from the balcony overlooking the eager crowd. It was a powerful choice, honoring Eva Perón’s connection to the people she championed, and Zegler’s voice soared with breathtaking beauty.

Prague held a special kind of magic, hosting a second wedding reception with Charlie – a celebration of his 50th birthday and our second anniversary. Friends traveled from across the globe to join us, filling Arthur’s Pub with laughter and warmth, despite the unexpectedly chilly May weather. The bartenders, sensing our joy, kept the cocktails flowing, creating an atmosphere of pure celebration.

Madagascar presented a thrilling challenge: climbing the Grand Tsingy. I braced myself for a terrifying Via Ferrata-style hike, but instead discovered exhilarating strength and skill. Hauling myself up ledges, navigating tiny steps, I felt an unexpected surge of confidence, conquering the landscape and my own fears.

New Orleans during Mardi Gras was a vibrant explosion of color and sound. With Charlie and our friend Nick, we immersed ourselves in the festivities – throwing beads from balconies, losing ourselves in the music of Frenchman Street, and indulging in the city’s incredible cuisine, especially the unforgettable barbecue shrimp at Dooky Chase.

A personal challenge, 75 Hard, pushed me to my limits. Two daily workouts, a strict diet, gallons of water, and constant self-improvement – even while traveling through Germany, Slovakia, and Poland. I rucked with my backpack through bus layovers, packed healthy lunches, and even skipped birthday cake for a morning yoga session, emerging stronger and more disciplined.

A Caribbean cruise aboard the Royal Clipper offered a unique blend of luxury and adventure. The ship itself was a masterpiece, but the true highlight was swimming off the marina platform, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of St. Lucia, a moment of pure bliss and connection to the sea.

In Kraków, a birthday food crawl with Cailin was a delightful exploration of Polish flavors. From paczi donuts to zapiekanki pizzas, and a tasting of ten unique vodkas, we savored the city’s culinary delights, punctuated by cat-themed birthday candles and joyful laughter.

Réunion Island surprised me with its incredible driving roads. Smooth, winding routes through volcanic landscapes, perfectly synchronized with Daft Punk’s “Discovery” album, created an unforgettable sensory experience. It was a reminder that sometimes, the journey itself is the destination.

I unexpectedly found myself becoming a concert traveler, spurred by the energy of the Eras Tour. Solo trips to see Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Beyoncé in Frankfurt, Warsaw, and Paris were exhilarating, filled with music, community, and the joy of experiencing live performances.

An impromptu dance party in Morondava, Madagascar, was a perfect example of the year’s spontaneous magic. A tiny bar, a few drinks, and a shared love of music transformed into a late-night celebration, fueled by Dadi Love and pure, unadulterated fun.

The Minos Beach Art Hotel in Crete redefined luxury for me. Private rooms, an exceptional breakfast buffet, and tranquil areas by the water’s edge created a haven of relaxation. It was a reminder to slow down, savor the moment, and simply be.

Seeing Tituss Burgess in “Oh, Mary!” was a theatrical experience unlike any other. His portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln was hilarious, daring, and utterly captivating, a testament to his extraordinary talent and the play’s brilliant originality.

Even a simple moment at the Barbados cruise terminal held a sweet surprise. Mistaken for honeymooners, Charlie and I were complimented on our “cuteness and romance,” a delightful reminder of the connection we share.

These moments, woven together, created a tapestry of adventure, connection, and joy. 2025 wasn’t just a year of travel; it was a year of living fully, embracing the unexpected, and discovering the magic that lies within every journey.
