Shohei Ohtani #17 of the Los Angeles Dodgers hits a home run in the fourth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers in game four of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium on October 17, 2025 in Los Angeles, California

It’s October, which means it’s the postseason for baseball. We’re in the muck of the playoffs, pacing forward toward the big finale: the World Series. If you're hoping to see it from the stands, I've broken down how to get postseason baseball tickets below.

Like other sports, the postseason involves multiple series of playoff competitions to determine who will ultimately be the pair of teams going head-to-head in the big final matchup series of games. These games pit the final top twelve teams of the season from each of the two leagues against each other in fierce competition. These matchups are divided into four sets of games: the Wild Card Series, the Division Series, the League Championship Series, and the World Series.

Somewhat disappointingly, several teams have already seen their final games. In case you missed it, the Yankees were eliminated in their Division League matchup against the Blue Jays. The Padres got eliminated in their Wild Card as well against the Cubs, only for the Cubs to get cut against the Brewers this past weekend. Both the Reds and the Phillies lost to the Dodgers in their Wild Card and Division series games. The Guardians got eliminated by the Tigers in the Wild Card, only for the Tigers to be defeated by the Mariners in the Division series. The Mariners didn’t have to play in the Wild Card games because they’d clinched the AL (American League) West Division title. The Blue Jays didn’t have to play in the Wild Card games either because they’d taken the AL East Division title.

This leaves us with the Blue Jays as the American League champions (after defeating the Mariners) and the Dodgers as the National League champs after sweeping the Brewers. We’re going to tell you how to get postseason tickets for these final games in this piece. Who will hit it out of the park and into this year’s World Series winning circle? Will it be another championship celebration for the boys in Los Angeles blues, or will another team possibly make history, grabbing their first World Series title in the history of their team? Either way, let’s get into it.

Major League Baseball’s 2025 postseason sports schedule

There are currently two matchups left leading toward the World Series. Prices for tickets may vary depending on the final teams going to the World Series and where they play. While there are some dates filled in for possible dates of the big series, the finalized dates for the World Series are yet to be determined.

When considering buying tickets for upcoming games in the postseason on Stubhub, keep in mind that tickets will be refunded in the event that your team does not advance. Pricing may increase the more games that are played, as well.

How to buy tickets for Major League Baseball’s 2025 postseason

You can buy tickets for the games directly on MLB.com, although you should expect to pay a premium for them.

Whether you buy tickets from Stubhub or directly, you will have protections for your purchases in the event that your teams do not advance. Like many other sporting events, tickets tend to potentially change in cost depending on how many you’re looking for as well.

You’ll also want to keep in mind that parking will significantly increase the cost of going to games. Parking at Dodger Stadium, for example, is limited but fills up quickly and isn’t cheap.

How much are postseason baseball tickets?

You can score limited original tickets on MLB.com; however, they may come at a premium. Tickets for the Dodgers' final NLCS games, for example, cost between $168 and $1,310. Stubhub has tickets for that same game available for $107 to $690.

If the Dodgers advance to the series, MLB has tickets. You can only buy a limited number of tickets per account, ranging from $881 to $1,314. The same tickets on Stubhub range between $1,057 and $2,775.

Keep in mind that Seattle has never attended nor won a World Series thus far, so if they do advance to those games, it’s going to be an expensive but historical experience for those who go. The first four games listed are the priciest of all the matchups pending.

Who is left playing in the postseason baseball games?

We’ve started to move on to the next series of games, which are actively in progress as the days go by. The series of games has been one for the books already for these teams, with fantastic (on the great and the abysmally bad) games ramping up to the final countdown of games to close the season.

Losses lead to different matchups going forward, with more to be determined in the coming weeks. Ultimately, we are down to the final four. The Dodgers are currently the lead runners-up against the Brewers. Seattle had some amazing games, bringing them to a matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays. There are some truly great games happening now with these final matchups (to the detriment of my neighbors who might be hearing me vocalizing as I watch), so no matter who you’re cheering for, the games are bound to be a series of energetic and lively enjoyment, especially if you’re right there witnessing it in the stands as the games happen.

Who is favored to win the World Series Championship?

As a Los Angeles resident, I would, of course, be silly not to say that I’m favoring our team to at least go to the World Series. Whether they win or not will be a journey, as many of us Dodger fans know that one of our ace pitchers, Clayton Kershaw, tends to bomb in some of the postseason games. He did abysmally last week in the matchup against the Phillies on Thursday.

On the other hand, two of the four teams left haven't won a Series yet. Both the Mariners and the Brewers are without their World Series-winning rings. The last time that the Brewers went to the series was over 40 years ago in 1982, where they ultimately bit the dust, losing in game 7 to the Cardinals. I’ve never personally seen the team go into the series, and while I’m not necessarily favoring them to win, it would be groovy for the underdog to advance — or so says the kid from the Chicago suburbs who saw that team break its infamous goat curse where they hadn’t won a series in 103 years back in 2016.

That said, it seems that multiple other outlets are also favoring the home team I’ve come to in my adulthood to win this year’s series again. We have some amazing players here in Los Angeles, but it’s too soon to call it yet. Whoever you’re watching, we’re bound to see some amazing games.
