Bakuramutsa and Keller-Sutter exchanged views on enhancing economic and investment cooperation, including progress towards a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) to foster a predictable and business-friendly environment, encouraging economic cooperation.

They also discussed collaboration between Rwanda’s Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC) and Swiss financial institutions in promoting sustainable finance, green bonds, fintech innovation, and impact investment.

The conversation further emphasized private sector partnerships, innovation-driven investments, and the strengthening of cultural diplomacy and people-to-people exchanges to deepen mutual understanding between both nations.

While in Bern, Ambassador Bakuramutsa also held meetings with officials from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) to advance bilateral cooperation and strengthen existing partnerships between the two countries.

Bakuramutsa reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to advancing constructive and results-oriented cooperation with Switzerland.

The presentation of Letters of Credence of the Rwandan envoy to the Swiss Confederation follows the appointment of Switzerland’s Resident Ambassador to Rwanda on October 15.
