Democrat Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois recently stood on the floor of the U.S. Senate and compared ICE enforcing American immigration law to the internment camps of World War II – camps that were created by a president of his party, no less.
Do the Democrats realize that the American people know that ICE existed under Democrat presidents like Joe Biden and Barack Obama?
Do they not understand that people know that the immigration laws ICE is enforcing were created and passed by members of Congress? People like Dick Durbin?
Watch this:
SICK.

He is talking about the American citizens who work for ICE, not some foreign invading force.
It’s not even an apt comparison.
That comparison is absolutely disgusting and historically ignorant. ICE enforces immigration law, it’s not rounding up American citizens based on race. To equate law enforcement to one of the darkest chapters in U.S. history is a slap in the face to those who actually suffered in…

Ice isn't interring them, they are sending them home. Because they are not citizens, unlike the Japanese Americans held in the interrment camps, who were later released back into America.

What some people may not realize is that Dick Durbin has been down this road before. Twenty years ago in 2005, Dick Durbin was forced to apologize after comparing officials at the Guantanamo Bay prison to Nazis.
NBC News reported at the time:
Illinois senator apologizesfor Guantanamo-Nazi remarks
Under fire from Republicans and some fellow Democrats, Sen. Dick Durbin apologized Tuesday for comparing American interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Nazis and other historically infamous figures.
“Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line,” the Illinois Democrat said. “To them I extend my heartfelt apologies.”
His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks.
“They’re the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them,” he said.
The apology came a week after Durbin, the Senate minority whip, quoted from an FBI agent’s report describing detainees at the Naval base in a U.S.-controlled portion of Cuba as being chained to the floor without food or water in extreme temperatures.
The only good news here is that Durbin is not running for reelection in 2026.
He should be made to apologize before he goes for smearing the brave men and women of ICE, just as he did in 2005.
